Bye Bye 2009.

2009 is going into its final day - and how I am excited and glad to say, Thank God 2009 is finally over. Generally, 2009 has been a very bad year; okay lah, a bit mixed year - quite bad at times, but generally, I would say mixed.

January

This was the start of 2009 - and it actually started off with quite a bit of promise. 2008 was not that good, and 2009 started off with plenty of hopes and so on. However, came to the middle of the month, I was devastated. This was the month that I lost my beloved boy, Uncle. The fucking idiot of the 4WD along Jalan Taman Pantai - I swear that you'll never sleep well. Or one day, someone will kill your kid.

February

I dont remember doing much in February, except for organizing a simple, yet meaningful Chinese New Year celebrations at 3 Two Square at my office. Got the Kee Ling Kok lion dance performers to come and perform...

March

For this month, I appeared on the cover of City & Country in The Edge. Hehe. Quite a good cover story, a full page cover, and a 2 page spreadout somewhere in the middle. I guess - thats quite a fair amount of press feature for one year.

It was quite a good month. My corporate blog was also featured on The Edge website, together with my comments on the Mini Budget.

Being quite an outdoor sports junkie, I also went for a paintball session with my colleagues in March - at this Padang Astaka in Petaling Jaya. I gave the opportunities to my staffs and colleagues to shoot all they wanted at me and you'll be surprised - I actually got quite a lot of headshots.

April

Went for my one and only holiday of the year - Hong Kong. Celebrated my birthday there together with my babyboo and some of my friends in Hong Kong -Andrew, Jayen and Mini.

May

I went to the Subang Shooting Club in May this year, on a little pistol shooting practice with Dad. After not shooting or actually holding a pistol for so long, I think I did quite alright at the shooting course.

June

Together with a bunch of friends, I went to watch Manchester United in Malaysia for the first time ever. The previous times they came - I always couldnt make it at all. But this time, I was determined to make sure I got to go watch it by cancelling all meetings and appointments.

July

July marked another black spot in my 2009 calendar. My beloved Princess daughter Stephy, unfortunately passed away due to a freak accident. Fatty and Ally were both very upset too, together with babyboo. We loved Stephy very much and she was like the Miniature Schnauzer model and pride.

August

In terms of public features, August marked another remarkable month for me. I was nominated on to Prestige Malaysia's Top 40 Under 40 - quite an achievement to be nominated. I did not win - but the experience was all that matters.

September

In September, I decided to transfer all my previous blog posts onto this new blog - http://eforericyong.blogspot.com. I figured - to blog randomly, I needed a better name for a blog - eventually I even got the http://ericyong77.com domain - of which I now house both my Corporate blog as well as the Personal blog together.

October was another birthday month - this time it was the birthday of Guinness. Celebrated Arthur's Day - its 250th anniversary together with a bunch of friends - this included the Fergie, will.i.am and co from the Black Eyed Peas! Hehehe...

November

To add on to more outdoor sports, I went out with the new-found #porkgang kakis for a cheap and freaking enjoyable go-karting session - at MAEPS circuit in Serdang.

December

There were quite a number of weddings in December - I guess it was a good month or something. Went up with @chanzy666 and co to Ipoh to pick up his bride - and then dinner back in PJ during the night.

And then a week later, I went for the 2009 Supercar Gathering - organized by YTL and JPM Motorsports; held at Starhill. Saw lots of my dream cars and super nice cars there - would have love to drive them all home. Hehehe...

So, to sum it all up, 2009 has its good mix of ups and downs. Now, I'm just praying and wishing and hoping that 2010 would be all ups only. To the Upper Powers up in the heavens, please make my 2010 a good one!!!
