The Aston Martin Rapide.

Being quite a lover of the Aston Martins and for obvious reasons, James Bond movies, I was always on the lookout for the latest or face-lifted Aston Martin in the market. However, this is only limited to magazines and online searches. I was told that Aston Martin UK had already appointed a local distributor/service centre - but it seems to be taking longer than expected for the setting up.

Thankfully, my friend Mr Chow from Aston Martin Lagonda Singapore was nice enough to send me a copy of the Rapide brochure - and here I am - writing about the car that I love!

The world's most beautiful four-door sports car.

Without a doubt, the Aston Martin Rapide is an elegant, functional yet luxurious - and it provides enough space for up to four adults (note - this is a UK car, so UK size is ok). So, think of Gareth - this car can fit him x4... hehe... I have to admit that this four-door sports is indeed the most beautiful I have seen - I've been looking around for 4-door sports, and I've actually narrowed down to 3 - the Jaguar XF-R, the Porsche Panamera Turbo and this - the Aston Martin Rapide. And by far, the Rapide is the most beautiful of them all!

The Aston Martin is a name that is synonymous with power, beauty and soul; it is indeed a pure driving experience swathed in some elegant bodywork. The Rapide is Aston Martin's first ever four-door production sports car. It is fast, dynamic and desirable. It shares similar signature curves of the carefully sculpted bodywork of its 'brothers' the Vantage and DB9s - and every element of this Rapide demonstrates the very essence of Aston Martin's core values.

Stylish interior designs.

The flowing elegance of the Rapide's exterior is carried through to the interior - high levels of comfort, equipment and quality are matched to a sporting character that focuses both driver and passengers on the road ahead. It has its usual stylish interior - but seriously, to me - all it matters is that 'Engine Start' button. Hehehe...

Excellent control.

Every Aston Martin is engineered to sharpen the senses, extracting every grain of texture from the road surface, while providing unrivalled driver feedback and involvement. Driving the Aston Martin is almost like having so much fun - its a combination of a Mercedes Benz S500 together with the controls of a Ferrari F430 - speed + comfort - 2 in 1.

The Rapide is exceptionally well specified, but there are still exclusive accessories available to enhance the ownership experience. The Rapide is the most practical and functional Aston Martin ever made, and the car also marks the debut of Aston Martin's first child seat, developed in conjunction with market specialists Britax.

I just cant wait for it to reach Malaysian roads... I heard it'll cost about RM1.5million at least - so its gonna be 'heavy' on the wallet. For its beauty and power - would you pay three times the price of a Jaguar XF - or 1.5 times the price of a Panamera?

If I had the money - I think I would.
