Today The Star published an article with regards to the World's Most Valuable Sports Team - as extracted from Forbes. I would expect to see a lot of football teams and clubs on the list - but I was really surprised to see a lot of.. yes, football, but AMERICAN FOOTBALL clubs on the list. Anyways, once again - for like the 18,495th year or something, Manchester United have emerged to be the world's most valuable sports team.

No. 1: Manchester United
They claim - and I believe they do, probably more - to have 333 million followers and 139 million core fans worldwide. It is owned by the Glazer family, managed by Sir Alex - and with last season's revenue of USD 459 million - they are valued at about USD 1.83 billion!!!

The other clubs and teams in the Top 5 would end up be all American entities - such as the Dallas Cowboys at 2nd and the Yankees at 3rd. As what I would always do, I would compare Manchester United's top position with its counterparts - some of the top teams in the world.

Real Madrid at no.6.
Real Madrid was at a respectable 6th place - with a value of USD 1.32 billion.

Cesc Fabregas and his Arsenal team at 8th place.
With a respectable revenue of USD 369 million (thats more than RM1billion already by the way) - Arsenal came in 8th place - valued at USD1.18billion. Okay - I'm going to continue to click on the super-slow slideshow and check out for only ONE other EPL team - Liverpool.

Lets see...

AHAAAA!!!!!

No.. its not LIVERPOOL.
Coming in at 16th is the REDS of Scuderia - Ferrari F1 team. Even without Michael Schumacher, Ferrari is still the no.1 Formula One team in terms of worth.

Lets see... where's Liverpool???

There's Barcelona at 25th position... and then Bayern Munich as well at 27th position...

AHH!!! OKAY I FOUND LIVERPOOL!!!!

Liverpool... at a dismal disastrous 41st position.

41st might be bad, but thats still better than qualifying for the Europa League.
