Have you seen such things above one's roof before???
Well... these are power generators.
Take a closer look... these pictures are all taken in our own country itself!!! =)
So... want to generate your own electricity and be an independent power producer (IPP)?
Well... In Malaysia we now have the Feed-in-Tariff system.
What is a Feed-in Tariff (FiT)?
As I wrote about it before - a feed-in tariff (FIT, standard offer contract advanced renewable tariff or renewable energy payments) is a policy mechanism designed to accelerate investment in renewable energy technologies. It achieves this by offering long-term contracts to renewable energy producers, typically based on the cost of generation of each technology. Technologies such as wind power, for instance, are awarded a lower per-kWh price, while technologies such as solar PV and tidal power are offered a higher price, reflecting higher costs. In addition, feed-in tariffs often include "tariff degression", a mechanism according to which the price (or tariff) ratchets down over time. This is done in order to track and encourage technological cost reductions. The goal of feed-in tariffs is to offer cost-based compensation to renewable energy producers, providing the price certainty and long-term contracts that help finance renewable energy investments.
Or.... in simpler terms, TNB will buy the energy produced from your panels above your rooftop with the rate of RM1.21 (for the year 2014) for 21 years.
Why and how would TNB buy from you? Take a closer look at your TNB bills.... the money was paid by residential users every month.... 1% extra changes under “Dana Wang Tenaga Yang Boleh Dibaharui” – this is the fund allocated for the Renewable Energy.

So... how much can you make?
Mr A's earnings are quite substantial, isnt it?
