Yesterday, I had a rather eventful day - most of the time, well, was spent on the road though. Took a little drive to Penang island for some prawn mee. The previous time I was there, Ken told me about the prawn mee at New Lane, near Sunway Hotel. This time I headed there again for the prawn mee at New Lane...... and guess who I met there...........!!! =P
Yes, he is the famous American chef, Anthony Bourdain!!! =P
Well, for those of you who do not know who he is, and has been asking me "Who's that?" - Anthony Bourdain is well known for his 2000 book Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, and is the host of Travel Channel's culinary and cultural adventure program Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations and as of 2011 The Layover also on the Travel Channel.
He did a little feature on the stalls at New Lane... well, you'll see it soon enough on AFC channel I suppose.
What was for dinner? The famous popiah, the char kueh teow and the prawn (Hokkien) mee!
