My Random Saturday - Experience on a Tow Truck.

Let me tell you about my Saturday... yes, the dreadful and eventful Saturday 2 days ago.

Basically, I got up rather early and got out of the house at 8.15am to pick up the Devil to head up north to my site and perhaps for some food hunting. After a roti planta at Hartamas, we headed onto the North-South Expressway....

At about 9.15am, just before Sungkai - my car broke down. 

Note - Sungkai is about 100 km from KL.

I pulled over, and stopped aside...

About 5 mins later, a Polis Bantuan PLUS RONDA patrol car stopped by. Well... they tried to jump start the car, but to no avail. Disappointed, I told them I would wait for the PLUS tow truck then.

The PLUS tow truck came from Tanjung Malim - and well, he only got to me at about 10.15am...

So... car's loaded onto tow truck, and off we headed to Sungkai exit. 

From there, I waited for another tow truck to come from Rawang, and he only got to me at 1pm, and then got me back to Sunway at about 3pm - and well.... RM500. Darn. =(

Back at Sunway, had a quick lunch... headed back... and then.....

And then well.... after getting back to KL, I decided to head back up north again. That was at about 4pm. Reached Penang at 8.15pm.... Travelled about 350 km. Fair enough, it was for prawn mee... and best part, got to meet Anthony Bourdain!!! =P

So....

All in, I travelled about 800+ km, with about 120km on the back of a tow truck, from 8.15am right til 1.30am. Fuuhh.... all for a bowl of prawn mee, char kueh teow and popiah with Anthony Bourdain. LOL.
